Issert

Driving up into Val Ferret, Issert, at an alttitude of 1,000 m, is the second village. Issert is a compact village with quite a few interesting old houses and barns built in line with traditional local style. A historic water mill is located at the south end of the village. The well known TMB Tour de Mont Blanc trail leads through the village, and brings quite a bit of clientele to Issert’s only cafe-restaurant, Cafe du Chatelet, good local food and a nice small terrace overlooking the road. 79 permanent residents live in Issert as of January 1st 2020.
